The 2018 Chevrolet Cruze hatchback will be offered with a gasoline or diesel engine and a six-speed manual nine-speed transmission when it goes on sale in mid-2017.
2018 Chevy Cruze Hatchback Design
The latest version of the Cruze sedan draws design clues from its bigger brothers, the Chevrolet Malibu and the Impala. The front of the Cruze is highlighted by a pair of headlights swept with LED accents. The latest version of the Chevrolet double grille occupies a prominent position on Cruze’s nose.

The inner drivers are filled by a three-spoke steering wheel with multifunction functions on top models. Cruze uses a conventional gauge layout, but the infotainment choices are much more advanced. In addition to the MyLink Suite of the Chevrolet Cruze infotainment, the latest version of Chevy’s Compact also benefits from Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Other high-tech features include General Motors’ OnStar telematics system and 4G LTE WiFi connectivity available.
2018 Chevy Cruze Hatchback Engine
Chevy has put forward the 1.6 liter diesel, especially for its improvements in noise and vibration. In addition to being quieter than the 2.0 liter diesel exiting the old Cruze, it is also smaller and lighter. In Europe, the engine measures 134 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque. At present, the EPA classifies the Cruze crossing at 29/38 mpg city / highway with an automatic highway and 28/37 mpg with a manual. Both transmissions are coupled to a 1.4-liter gasoline engine producing 150 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque.
2018 Chevy Cruze Hatchback Release date and price
The announcement was not a huge surprise given that the Cruze sedan will be sold with a diesel option in the first quarter of 2017. The trap will follow the middle of the year. The price has not been fixed, but the 2017 Cruze hatchback starts at $ 22,190.
