2018 Hyundai Accent Rumor and New Images

We hope that the Hyundai Accent will be fully redesigned for the 2018 model year with a new exterior, interior, new features and an updated powertrain. For the new Accent that has already been revealed in Toronto, Hyundai has increased the rigidity of the chassis, updated the style to look more like that of the larger Elantra and improved the interior with better materials.

2018 Hyundai Accent Design

The Accent 2018 sedan debuts first, with the hatchback model to follow later this year. The overall silhouette of the car has not changed much, but the new front and rear front designs give Accent a look similar to a narrowed version of the attractive Elantra sedan. The version shown here is probably a higher level of finish with its 17-inch wheels and LED lighting accents; Economic consumers should know that even more affordable models with concentric caches and less gliding will certainly be available.

A 0.4-inch stretched wheelbase, with a slightly wider stance, gives the new model a larger passenger volume and cargo space than its predecessor. A complete interior redevelopment finally brings the Accent to the 21st century and the clean style dashboard offers an optional 7.0-inch center touch screen with Apple CarPlay and the Android Auto feature. Finally, a backup camera, which was not even available on the old Accent, was standard equipment.

The powertrain options are familiar: a 1.6-liter direct-injection four-cylinder engine powers 132 horsepower and 119 lb.-ft. Torque, but it was returned for better power-handling and fuel economy. Buyers can have the 1.6L four-cylinder engine that clings to a manual or automatic transmission, both with six speeds.
