The 2017 Shanghai Motor Show was where Lexus introduced the new 2018 Lexus NX. This model was introduced for the first time in 2014 and since then it has been a successful and successful model of Lexus. This smallest SUV now has its mid-cycle update with an improvised interior design and an improved chassis. The previous model of Lexus NX was available in three versions, NX 200t, NX 300h and NX F Sports. Now Lexus has also changed the name of its standard model, the previous model known as 200t will be available with the new name Lexus NX 300 and the other versions will continue with the same names NX 300h and NX F Sports. The New Lexus NX 300h will be updated for the 2018 model year.
2018 Lexus NX 300h Hybrid Exterior Design
Outside, the NX will look very similar to the current model. However, a closer look reveals a more refined positioning of the vehicle’s spindle grille and an elegant hood. The headlights have also been upgraded with a triple headlight design influenced by the new LC 500. The rear lights have also been lengthened to accentuate the L-shaped lenses. There is also a new 18-inch wheel design including a contrast machined finish By a dark metallic paint for a sportier look. The larger chrome exhaust buttons help to complete the look.
2018 Lexus NX 300h Hybrid Interior
Inside, the infotainment screen grows from 7.0 inches to 10.3, and the touch pad that controls it has increased. The climate control panel is no longer a tip of buttons now, four sliders have a cleaner and simpler design. A new sound damping in the body should also help to improve cabin noise. In terms of technological updates, the wireless phone charger is now bigger to support larger phones. USB ports have higher amperes for faster charging and info info. A new, hands-free rear door can be opened or closed with a foot wave under the rear bumper cover.

The NX also supports an adaptive suspension that, along with changes to shock absorbers, springs and swing bars, should improve handling without eliminating Lexus’ smooth ride. Lexus NX variants come with Lexus Safety System +, an active suite and passive driver aids that include a front-end collision warning, stand-alone emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, Track and high beams. So this will provide better lighting of the road, follow the traffic ahead and even if you remain in trouble, you brake automatically.
2018 Lexus NX 300h Hybrid Engine
Under the hood, the 2018 Lexus NX 300h will continue to feature a 2.5-liter hybrid 4-cylinder engine. The output for the 2018 model has not been announced, but we do not foresee any changes at this time to the combined output of the 194 hp combined system. That said, an updated suspension system inspired by the LC coupe will offer the ability to make faster adjustments for better road control.
Price and Date of Release
The official price has not yet been announced. For reference, the 2017 NX 300h starts at $ 40,695 with a destination, considerably higher than the MSRP of $ 36,260 from the NX 200t the cheapest. There is currently no indication that the model will achieve a substantial price increase for 2018. The 2018 Lexus NX 300h is expected to go on sale this fall.
