After deploying the redesigned peasant last autumn, Mini now baptized it with the John Cooper Works title, reflecting both the original founder name of Cooper Car Company and the current brand’s performance line.
2018 Mini Countryman Engine specs
With the introduction of the 2018 Mini Countryman ALL4, Mini has both completed its JCW range, and has created one of the few fastest crossovers out there. The model follows the recent JCW Clubman, and like this car, the JCW Countryman has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged generating 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. This places him firmly ahead of the next sports crossover, the 215-horsepower Juke Nismo RS, although it is within the monstrous Mercedes-AMG GLA45’s 375 horsepower.
2018 Mini Countryman Exterior and Interior
Naturally, the 2018 Mini Countryman JCW features a splashier exterior treatment, with a honeycomb grille, a lower front fascia restyled with larger air intakes, a roof-mounted spoiler, and red accents. Compared to the previous JCW Countryman, the new version provides a larger canvas of 8.0 inches more and 1.3 inches wider on which to apply spoilers and stripes. It also sits riding on a wheelbase that has grown from 2.9 inches to 105.1 inches, even in the Clubman. Interior enhancements include sport seats with integrated head restraints, JCW-specific steering wheel and shift lever, and a black roof. As always, expect Mini to offer many customization options to give buyers the opportunity to spice up both the exterior and interior.
There is a unique interior, too. The front seats are reinforced and the head restraints integrated, the horn has an anthracite finish, and the steering wheel and shift lever are specific units of JCW. In the dashboard is a 6.5-inch screen for the infotainment system, which comes with a JCW startup screen, and there is also a complete list of electronic driver aids available plus a color head display.
2018 Mini Countryman Price and Release Date
Mini has not yet published any awards for the John Cooper Works Countryman, but if it, too, follows the convention, buyers can expect to pay about $ 6,000 or more over the application for a Cooper S. Will Which make the JCW Countryman the most expensive Mini of all? Maybe not. There is also a plug-in-Countryman Hybrid to come. This model could surpass the JCW in price, if not in power. The latest JCW Countryman arrives in the showrooms in the spring, as a 2018 Mini Countryman model. Prices will be announced closer to market launch but are expected to come close to the starting price of $ 36,000 of the outgoing model.
