This refresh could see the Accent leave the segment it dominated and move to an entirely new weight class. With a length of 29 mm and 15 mm, the 2019 Hyundai Accent sedan developed a larger footprint and managed to have a more severe curvature with a retained roof height. The wheels were pushed another 10 mm, increasing the interior volume to a compact car level of 2,555 l in the sedan and 2.576 l in the five doors, a gain of 36 and 38 liters respectively.
2019 Hyundai Accent Changes
Canada’s five-door door is an enormous 70 mm more, resulting in a 16-liter increase in cargo volume. The sedan will have 387 l in the boot while the five doors will engulf 616. We will not see the hatch in Canada until early 2019, but the sedan will go on sale through a Hyundai website updated as early as October 2018. Styling wise, the Accent gets very Elantra-esque clues in the corner lights and headlights, as well as the new Hyundai signature grid.
