It’s only been a few months since of the Chevrolet Chevy Silverado 2019, but here to prove that you can never have too much of a good thing is the all-new 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500. Because why start just a year in advance when you can do two? It has confirmed that it will launch the all-new 2020 Silverado HD in 2020, but to whet our appetite, the company has given us a teaser image.
2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 Design
At first glance, the new 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 looks more robust than the outgoing model. It borrows the same bow-tie grid design as the new Silverado 1500. This particular model also carries a Z71 badge, which can be seen clearly on the lower right of the grille.
The hood now gains a more prominent curved scoop, and the Chevrolet logo is stamped through a chrome panel running along the front fascia, seeming to replace the signature logo. We will be curious to see if the Silverado HD adopts the same “Flowtie” device as some of its big brothers and sisters.
Performance Chevy Silverado 1500
The 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 will likely use a range of powertrains, including V8 petrol and diesel engines. There will likely be one- and two-wheel-drive options as well, and the truck should have all the features currently found on the 2019 Silverado. Currently, the Duramax diesel engine offers 445 horsepower. horses at 2800 rpm and a torque of 910 lb-ft at 1600 rpm, which allows the truck to tow up to 23,300 pounds. If HD is more powerful, these numbers could increase further.
Chevrolet says the truck will come out of Flint’s production line in the third quarter of 2019. At that point, it is likely that fear will appear in the headlights of helpless little cars like the beloved Renault Twingo.
